Are your books open right now?
The booking page always shows the truth — if you can submit a request there, I'm taking them. If it says I'm closed, there's a waitlist on the same page, and the people on it hear first when I reopen. That list is the fastest way in.
How do I book with you?
Send a request through the booking page — pick a flash design, or describe your idea and add any reference images, the size and where you'd like it. It comes straight to me and I read every one myself.
How far out are you booking?
I answer requests within about 3 to 14 days, and I'll come back with real dates rather than making you guess at a calendar. I tattoo a small number of days on purpose, so dates are limited — but that also means your piece gets the time it deserves.
Do you ever have last-minute openings?
Sometimes. Cancellations are rare, but when one comes up it goes to the waitlist before anywhere else. Add yourself and you'll be first to know.
I need to move my appointment. What do I do?
Message me as early as you can and we'll find another day. Life happens — I'd much rather move you than have you come in stressed or unwell.
If you're not near me
I don't live near you — can I still get tattooed by you?
Only if we're in the same room, sadly. I tattoo in Kansas City, Missouri, and I travel for pop-ups a few times a year. Pop-up dates are announced here before anywhere else, so if you're ever nearby you'll know first.
Can I buy one of your designs and have my own artist tattoo it?
This is the question I get most from people I can't reach, and I'm working on a proper answer for it. For now, please ask me directly rather than taking a design from my page — every one of these is drawn for a specific person, and I care where they end up.
Do you sell prints of your artwork?
Not yet — but it's coming, and it's the thing I most want to offer the people who can't get to my chair. Watch this space.
Custom work
Do you do custom designs?
Absolutely. Send me your ideas — the story behind it, any references you love, the size and the placement — and I'll draw something that's only yours. Most of what I make is faith-led, and I love being trusted with a verse or a moment that matters.
Will I see the design before my appointment?
Yes. Custom drawings come to you a day or two beforehand so there are no surprises in the chair, and there's room for small changes before we start.
What kind of tattoos do you specialise in?
Soft fine-line work — delicate linework, soft shading, fine-line microrealism, florals and patchwork. If you want something bold and heavily saturated, I'm lovingly not your artist, and I'd rather tell you that than do it badly.
Can I see how your work heals?
Yes, and please do — healed work is the honest test of any fine-line artist. There's a healed highlight on my Instagram with real pieces months and years on.
Pricing & deposits
How much will my tattoo cost?
It depends on the size, the placement and how much detail is in it — so send me your idea and I'll quote you properly rather than guess. Flash pieces are priced per design, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Do you require a deposit?
Flash designs are $50 down. That's non-refundable and it comes off the final cost of your tattoo — it's not an extra charge, it's the first part of the payment. Custom pieces are a percentage of your quote, and I'll tell you the exact figure before you pay anything. Your date isn't held until the deposit is in.
Your appointment
Do fine-line tattoos hurt less?
Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but a lot of my clients find fine-line more comfortable than traditional styles. Eat a proper meal beforehand and bring water — it makes a bigger difference than people expect.
How should I prepare, and what should I bring?
Eat a real meal before you come, bring water and something to keep you occupied, and wear clothing that gives easy access to the spot we're tattooing. Bring your photo ID — I check every time, no exceptions.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes — you're welcome to bring up to two guests into the tattoo room, and that includes male guests. Bring the person who makes you feel calm.
Do you offer touch-ups?
Yes — one complimentary touch-up if you need it, within six weeks of healing. Just message me and we'll get you back in.
How do I look after my new tattoo?
Everything you need is on my care page — how to wash it, what to moisturise with, and what to keep it away from while it heals. Keep it clean and moisturised, and no sun or soaking for two weeks. If anything looks off, message me rather than worrying.
Things I don't do
Do you tattoo minors?
No — 18 and over only, with government photo ID, and I don't make exceptions even with a parent's consent. If you're turning 18 soon, message me then and I'd love to make something with you.
Do you do cover-ups?
No, not at this time. Covering existing work well takes a heavier, more saturated style than mine, and you deserve an artist who specialises in it.
Will you tattoo hands, necks or faces?
No — I don't tattoo hands, necks or faces. It's a personal line rather than a judgement, and I hold it for everyone.
Becoming a tattoo artist
How do I become a tattoo artist? Do I need an apprenticeship?
I get this a lot, and I love that you asked. The honest version: an apprenticeship is still the way in — there's no degree that replaces it, and no class that teaches you what a mentor will. Draw constantly, build a portfolio that shows range rather than copies, and find a shop whose work you'd be proud to sit under. I'm not taking apprentices at the moment, so I can't be that person for you — but I'd rather tell you that than leave you waiting on a reply.
